Benqing Wu, Professor, Medical Doctor, Class II Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor, is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance of Shenzhen Municipality. His main research interests include basic and clinical research on the rescue and treatment of critically ill neonates, as well as hospital performance management.

Prof. Wu holds academic positions including Member of the Neonatology Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Vice Chairman of its Neonatal Life Support Professional Committee; Vice Chairman of the Neonatology Professional Committee of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association; Chairman of the Neonatal Medical Branch of the China Medical Device Industry Association; Chairman-Elect of the Neonatology Committee of Guangdong Clinical Medical Association; Vice Chairman of the Neonatology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association; Vice Chairman of the Neonatology Physicians Branch of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association; and Chairman of the Neonatology Professional Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association. Prof. Wu serves as an editorial board member or guest editor for Chinese Journal of Neonatology, Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics, Journal of Clinical Pediatrics, Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics, and Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Prof. Wu has undertaken more than 30 research projects at all levels and won 5 provincial and municipal scientific research achievement awards. He has authored 5 academic monographs as chief editor, participated in compiling 12 monographs, and published over 260 academic papers.
