In September 2025, a delegation from Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, led by President Fan Jianping and Minister Yang Fan of the Education Affairs Department, embarked on a high-level educational exchange visit to the United Kingdom. During the visit, President Fan Jianping and the delegation held in-depth discussions and exchanges with the UK All-China Professors Association, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, University College London, Queen Mary University of London, the Francis Crick Institute, and other academic associations, universities and research institutions. The two sides conducted in-depth dialogues on international scientific and educational cooperation, explored training models for top-tier innovative talents, and tapped into the potential for further collaboration in research and education. This visit marks the official launch of all-round multi-dimensional cooperation between the University and leading British medical institutions. Important consensus has been reached on undergraduate study exchange programs, joint postgraduate training initiatives, and high-level academic reciprocal visits, laying a solid foundation for in-depth and long-term cooperation in the future.
The delegation paid an official visit to Sir Tomas Lindahl, laureate of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Sir Lindahl accepted the invitation extended by Fan Jianping to visit Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology in the near future. He has long shown close attention to the University’s development and delivered a message to its students, encouraging them to maintain curiosity, persevere with commitment, and embrace the courage to innovate.
On November 16, 2025, Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Russian Schwartz Association of Experts in Molecular Medicine and Experimental Genetics. Leveraging their respective resource strengths, the two parties will focus on the field of molecular medicine to carry out joint scientific research, collaborative talent training and in-depth industrial docking, injecting new momentum into addressing global health challenges and advancing the development of future medical technologies.
Xu Zhiming, Executive Director of the Future Medical Center and Dean of the School of Clinical Medicine at Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, and Larionova Valentina Ilinichna, President of the Russian Expert Association for Molecular Medicine and Experimental Genetics, signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties. The signing ceremony was jointly witnessed by Zhu Jianping, Party Secretary of Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, and Uruzhumtseva Tatyana Borisovna, Director of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.
In accordance with the principle of complementary resources, equal consultation and mutual benefit and win-win results, both sides will conduct in-depth cooperation in three key areas:
