
Jie Jiang, Associate Chief Physician and Director of the Department of Nephrology, has been engaged in clinical nephrology practice since 2009. He received advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of complicated and critical renal diseases at Chinese PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital), and further specialized training in interventional vascular access at the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University. From 2021 to 2024, he was awarded the 43rd China–Japan Sasakawa Medical Scholarship by the National Health Commission of China. He studied in Japan under Professor Akira Shimizu, President of the Japanese Society of Renal Pathology, focusing on the pathogenesis of immune-related kidney diseases and ultrastructural pathology. As the first author, he has published more than 20 professional papers, including 6 SCI-indexed articles. He has participated in compiling five medical monographs and holds one authorized patent. He has presided over two provincial research projects, one municipal key project and more than ten other research programs, and supervised three research projects of master and doctoral students. He currently serves as Member of the Nephrology Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, Young Member of the Nephrology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association, and Standing Committee Member of the Expert Committee on Nephrological Medication of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association.
Dr. Jiang specializes in the standardized diagnosis and systematic management of various kidney diseases and the long-term follow-up of chronic kidney disease, with rich experience in immunotherapy for complex renal disorders. He is proficient in blood purification techniques, the establishment of complicated vascular access, and peritoneal dialysis-related surgeries. He excels in precise renal pathological diagnosis, and is competent in pre-transplant evaluation and postoperative management of renal transplantation as well as genetic diagnosis of rare nephropathies.
