Students' Impression

I like the city very much, almost every weekend we are going to hiking, when there is the summer, we are going to the beach. I like nature, I like people, I think Shenzhen is more like an international city.

I’m so excited about studying at SIAT, an affiliate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and because CAS institutes are one of the finest institutions in the world. Besides, CAS is reputable globally for its high quality of research and erudite scholars of diverse nationalities. My study here has also allowed me to attend Frontier and Interdisciplinary sciences for the overseas students organized by the International College-University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and international conferences.

​SIAT BCBDI provides an advanced research platform, which includes the most current techniques, instruments and equipments, to support and ensure our experiments efficiently completed. Lots of famous neuroscientists have been invited here to give academic lectures, which provides us such a rare chance to communicate with these professors face to face. In addition, colorful activities were developed to enrich our lives, such as singing contest, speech contest and sports games. I benefited a lot and Being here was a terrific experience.

Studying and living in SIAT comes with its share of ups and downs, but in all, it’s a unique and memorable experience for me. The ups and downs in SIAT have helped me to be stronger, resilient, and work smarter in achieving my goal. Most of the amenities of daily life are easy to access and affordable. Besides, I have learned the values and lifestyle of the Chinese people through mutual interaction with my lab-mates and friends.
