Faculty of Biomedical Engineering

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Student-Centered, Integration of Medicine and Engineering, Innovation and Pursuit of Truth", the School of Biomedical Engineering is committed to cultivating students' innovative capabilities and self-development qualities. It aims to nurture first-class international, innovative, and interdisciplinary talents, develop a world-class discipline of biomedical engineering, and strive to become a training base for innovative talents in the field of biomedical engineering in China. The School plans to initially establish the following 4 departments:

Department of Neural Engineering

This department is dedicated to cultivating innovative interdisciplinary talents who master the basic theories and cutting-edge technologies of interdisciplinary fields such as neural engineering, rehabilitation engineering, and information engineering. It also conducts research on neural function rehabilitation theories and technologies.

Department of Medical Imaging and Information

This department focuses on nurturing innovative talents proficient in new imaging physics and methods, cutting-edge imaging technologies, information acquisition means, and health information data processing methods. It also carries out research on advanced imaging technologies and equipment.

Department of Bioelectronics

This department is committed to cultivating innovative talents who grasp the cutting-edge theories and technologies of interdisciplinary fields like bioelectronic composite materials and information acquisition & analysis. It also conducts research on cross-scale biomedical information detection devices and innovative systems for disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

Department of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering

This department focuses on nurturing innovative talents who master the basic theories and cutting-edge technologies of structural and functional bionic biomaterials construction. It also conducts research on biomaterial engineering technologies for tissue repair and their translational medical applications.
