visited Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology (SUAT)
The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on academics, education, talent cultivation
and future cooperation
The delegation visited the SUAT campus and Dawning College, introducing Monash University's international education philosophy, disciplinary characteristics, latest research achievements, and future joint cultivation programs with SUAT to SUAT faculty and students. Wang Dawei, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Energy Engineering, introduced SUAT's educational goals, development plans, and educational strength and strategic layout in engineering education and scientific research to the delegation.
The two sides conducted in-depth discussions around upcoming joint cultivation cooperation modes such as"2+2" undergraduate dual degrees, "3+2" bachelor's-master's programs, and summer schools,and exchanged on future multidimensional cooperation modes, particularly international scientific research cooperation, faculty exchange visits, and student joint cultivation in materials science, environmental science, and other engineering disciplines.
Monash University highly praised SUAT's frontier research facilities, high-quality teaching resources, and broad international vision, looking forward to exploring efficient and innovative cooperation modes through joint efforts.

Visitors included Yiannis Ventikos, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering; Aijun Huang, International Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Matthew Hill, Dean of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering; Ha Hong Bui, Dean of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and International Associate Dean Victor Chang; as well as Yvonne Wang, Senior Officer for International Cooperation Affairs in the Faculty of Engineering, and Jenny Zhou, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering. Attendees from SUAT included Zhao Wei, Provost and Director of the Academic Committee; Yang Chunlei, Executive Director of the Basic Teaching Department; Qian Zhenfei, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Cooperation Office; Liang Qingning, Executive Dean of Dawning College; and Zhang Xiaolong, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Materials Science and Energy Engineering.
