I. University Introduction
Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology (SUAT) is a newly established research-oriented university founded on the strong scientific and educational resources of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). II.InstituteIntroduction
The Bio-X International Institute has ben established in November 2025 at Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology (SUAT). Its mission is to “connect SUAT to the international science community, build a hub for international exchange in brain and life sciences, and thereby accelerate the internationalization process of SUAT.” The Institute intends to set up an International Exchange Center, focusing on the exchange with world-class scientists, international junior scientists andstudents with the goal to establish long-term collaborations. To create a local hub for the international exchange, the institute will establish three core research centers: the Center for Neuron–Glia Interaction, the Center for Brain Body Interaction, and the Center for Primate Biology and Clinical Translation. An important part of the institute will be an Administrative Center which coordinates all these international activities, namely the lecture program, the research collaborations, the student exchange, the clinical translation, and the funding acquisition. All these activities are coordinated by a steering committee, and an International Academic Advisory Board will guide, advise, and control all activities. The institute will invite top international scientists to serve as ambassadors, exploring an adjunct professorship system and establishing Memoranda of Understanding with world-class international institutions, and to establish joint collaborations.
III. Recruitment Information

Practical Professor Series:
Professor:
Candidates should have sustained, high-level scientific output and broad academic influence in the relevant field, with the potential to become a leading figure in the discipline and possess international recognition. Generally, candidates should be independent Principal Investigators (PIs) working at renowned universities or research institutions domestically or internationally.
Associate Professor:
Candidates should have achieved relatively outstanding scientific results, demonstrating development capability, with their work recognized by the international academic community. Generally, candidates should be young talents under 40 years of age, with the ability for independent development and potential for establishing an independent research line.
Research Assistant Professor:
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field from a renowned university or institution domestically or internationally. Preference will be given to those with over 2 years of work experience. Candidates must possess strong research capabilities and a team-oriented spirit. Domestic applicants should have presided over at least one National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists project or an equivalent national-level project.
Postdoc:
Candidates should be about to obtain or have obtained a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field from a renowned university domestically or internationally within the last 3 years, and should be no older than 35 years old in principle. Candidates should not have undertaken postdoctoral work in Guangdong Province previously. Candidates must possess a high academic level and strong research capabilities.
Note: Qualified candidates may be recommended for teaching and research faculty positions in the School of Life and Health.

(III) Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for theProfessor/Associate Professor positions are:
Identify with the educational philosophy and discipline development plan of ShenzhenUniversity of Advancedof Technology;
Able to independently or collaboratively lead a research group, conduct innovative scientific research aligned with the discipline's development strategy, and promote the development of a high-level talent team;
Able to independently or collaboratively undertake the application and execution of various research projects, and produce high-level academic achievements;
Able to teach core courses of the discipline and guide/mentor graduate students;
Able to actively cooperate and participate in various university activities.
The primary responsibilities for the Research Assistant Professor/Postdoc positions are:
Identify with the educational philosophy and discipline development plan of ShenzhenUniversity of Advancedof Technology;
Conduct independent research work under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI);
Independently or assist the PI in applying for variousresearch projects;
Assist in the guidance and training of graduate students within the research group;
Complete tasks assigned by the PI and assist in the daily management of the laboratory.

Remuneration for Practical Professor/Associate Professor:

Remuneration for Research Assistant Professor:
The initial appointment for Research Assistant Professor is three years, with an annual pre-tax salary of 400,000 - 500,000 RMB (including Shenzhen Talent Subsidy). Benefits follow the standards for equivalent university staff, including five social insurances and one housing fund, performance bonuses, etc.
The research group provides an excellent working environment and ample research support, fully supporting the Research Assistant Professor in applying as the lead for projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and various research projects at the Guangdong Provincial and Shenzhen Municipal levels. The group will assist eligible Research Assistant Professors in applying for relevant Shenzhen talent programs. Outstanding individuals may be recommended for appointment as Practical Associate Professor upon completion of the term.
Can apply for Shenzhen Talent Housing through the university. Can settle household registration in Shenzhen; spouse and minor children can apply for accompanying household registration.

Remuneration for Postdoc:

(2.1)Selected for national programs: eligible for a 930,000 RMB living subsidy, disbursed over 3 years.
(2.2)Eligible candidates can apply for a Shenzhen living subsidy of 360,000 RMB, disbursed over 2 years. Graduates from overseas doctoral institutions ranked in the top 200 can apply for an increased Shenzhen living subsidy of 600,000 RMB, disbursed over 2 years (cannot be combined with the above).
(2.3)Postdocs who remain in Shenzhen (at the university) upon completion can apply for a Shenzhen living subsidy of 360,000 RMB over 3 years; postdocs from this university who remain at the university upon completion can additionally apply for a Guangming District living subsidy of 300,000 RMB over 3 years.
(2.4)President's Postdoctoral Funding Program: 100,000 RMB/year.
